To get started I will need good, CLEAR, SHARP photographs or digital images of your pet. You need to understand the better the photographs, the better the result will be. The quality of the final portrait depends on the quality of the photographic reference of the animal I am to paint.  The photo should be a close-up, as sharp as possible and with good eye detail. The most important feature for me is the eyes.  Please see the “photo tips” page for advice on taking the best photograph.

When You’re Ready:

• Send more than one GOOD CLEAR PHOTO of your pet – specifically one good one of the eyes. Make sure that your pet is the main focus and comprises the majority of the photograph.  Photos will be returned to you upon completion
• You can also email me a high resolution photo at 300dpi
• Email me your desired canvas size, your non refundable 50% deposit, and your contact information
• After the painting is complete I’ll email you a digital image of it. Upon your approval, the painting will then be prepared for shipping
• Portraits will be shipped to you upon receipt of the full balance of payment (including shipping).  Note that you are responsible for any shipping costs
• I accept checks and money orders (made payable to Christy Funchess) as well as credit cards
• Gift certificates are also available

Turnaround Time

You can usually expect a 4-6 week turnaround. During the holidays, turnaround times may be longer. If you are giving a painting as a gift and have a particular date in mind, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Shipping

I ship all of my paintings via FedEx Ground. Shipping charges will be provided to you upon your approval of the painting. You may request that the painting be sent FedEx Overnight or Two Day Air however additional charges will apply.
